Get fresh-from-the-field, discounted, organic produce

HonorHealth Desert Mission - Community Supported Agriculture Program

Each week, you can pick up local veggies and fruit at your selected HonorHealth location at an affordable price. Bring a bag and enjoy produce that’s certified naturally grown and non-GMO, full of antioxidants, fiber and all things good for you.

You can enjoy the crunch thanks to a partnership between a Community Supported Agriculture program and HonorHealth Desert Mission.

Your farm-fresh produce from Crooked Sky Farms could include salad greens, root vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, citrus, peas, tomatoes, corn, onions, cucumbers, squash, melons and sometimes beans or flowers. An item might be new to you, letting you expand your horizons. Or you can trade an item at your pick-up location’s Trade Table.

Your veggies and fruit come in two sizes:

  1. Mini $11— four portions (each item may come in a bag, bunch, basket or pound).
  2. Classic $18— eight portions.

FAQs

A: With a commitment to improving the health of its patients, employees and physicians, HonorHealth is bringing employees, patients and the community the opportunity to purchase fresh organic produce weekly from a local farm.
A: Located in Phoenix, Crooked Sky Farms is owned by Frank Martin. Farmer Frank had dreamed of becoming a farmer after working closely with his father in the fields in the ‘60s. At that time, farmers prized chemicals as a miracle cure-all to pests, with no knowledge that chemicals could be harmful to humans. Watching his father’s health rapidly decline after years of exposure to chemicals on the farm instilled a passion in young Frank to return farming to the natural ways, without chemicals, before the days of toxic pollutants and genetic modifications.
